Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects from initial design through handover and the 12‑month defect period. Reporting lines include the site manager and design team, with responsibility for coordinating all trades, health & safety, and ensuring compliance with building regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain the construction programme daily in Worksavi.
• Manage the site manager, designer, and subcontractors, ensuring performance and coordination.
• Develop and issue CPP check sheets, fire action and strategy plans, logistics, traffic management, hospital location, project directory, O&M tracker, risk register, and RFI schedule.
• Keep all site drawings and information up‑to‑date, issuing updates to designers as needed.
• Conduct weekly inspections, trade contractor meetings, and client meetings, documenting minutes and actions.
• Maintain the RFI tracker and risk register in Worksavi, and issue weekly waste returns.
• Coordinate with building control, principal designer, and supply chain to ensure compliance and capture risks.
• Oversee project close‑out, ensuring O&M documents, safety declarations, building control certificates, and defect resolution are completed on schedule.
