Project Management Office Lead

About the role

The Project Management Office (PMO) Lead will steer the planning, execution and delivery of IT projects across infrastructure, applications and ERP domains. Reporting to senior IT leadership, you will ensure projects align with the organisation’s strategic goals and follow best‑practice governance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor project managers and cross‑functional teams handling infrastructure, application and ERP initiatives.
• Define, implement and enforce PMO standards, methodologies and governance processes.
• Manage the project portfolio, prioritising work and allocating resources to meet business objectives.
• Track project performance, budgets, timelines and deliverables, providing regular status reports to executives.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leadership and external vendors to ensure successful outcomes.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost PMO efficiency and project delivery.
• Support change‑management activities related to technology adoption.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 10 years of progressive IT project‑management experience, including 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
• Proven track record managing infrastructure, application and ERP projects.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
