Project Draftsman

About the role

Nestlé Nigeria is seeking a Project Draftsman to join the Technical & Production team at the Flowergate Factory in Sagamu. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role will produce project drawings, spare‑parts drawings and factory/plant layouts, ensuring they align with design principles and site execution.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, revise and interpret accurate engineering drawings, spare‑parts drawings, factory and plant layouts.
• Verify that construction and equipment installation on site conform to approved drawings and capture required as‑built changes.
• Synchronise drawing sets with OEM equipment delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, factory engineering, consultants, vendors and contractors to support first‑time‑right delivery.
• Maintain drawing controls, revision history, version management and distribution throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• HND/BSc or equivalent in Engineering or a related drafting discipline.
• Minimum two years’ experience in capital investment project development and implementation in the food industry.
• Proven ability to connect drawings with actual site execution and verify compliance with approved designs.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and commitment to safety, quality and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Production, reading and interpretation of engineering drawings, factory and plant layouts.
• Document‑control capability including revision management, filing, retrieval and maintenance of as‑built records.
• Coordination of drawing sets with OEM equipment specifications.
