Project Director – Large‑Scale Digital Identity Programme

About the role

2AM Tech is looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale Digital Identity and Authentication Programme. You will be responsible for steering a complex, multi‑vendor initiative that spans several integrated systems and a wide range of public‑sector stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated programme plans, master schedules and delivery roadmaps across all workstreams.
• Establish and oversee governance structures, steering committees and executive reporting mechanisms.
• Manage vendors, implementation partners and senior stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, quality assurance and risk management activities.
• Drive issue resolution, dependency management and resource coordination across multiple teams.
• Ensure contractual milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria are achieved.
• Provide strategic leadership to project managers, technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Support change management, operational readiness and transition‑to‑service activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years’ experience delivering large‑scale technology, systems integration or digital transformation programmes.
• Proven project‑management expertise with PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, PgMP or equivalent certification.
• Strong background in public‑sector projects and milestone‑driven contracts.
• Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
