Project Coordination & Technical Assistance Consultant – Nigeria

About the role

The consultancy supports C4Impact Advisory Group and the Agricultural Innovation Mechanism for Scale (AIM for Scale) in scaling two Innovation Packages in Nigeria – Weather Forecasts for Farmers and Digital Advisory Services for Agriculture. Based in Nigeria, the consultant will act as the primary point of contact, coordinating technical and financial partners and delivering technical assistance to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate a consortium of technical and financial partners to ensure effective delivery of the Innovation Packages.
• Serve as the main liaison between C4Impact, AIM for Scale, government agencies, academia and local institutions.
• Facilitate the localization, generation and dissemination of timely weather forecasts for smallholder farmers.
• Support the rollout of digital agricultural advisory services, including content adaptation and user outreach.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports and ensure compliance with donor and partner requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination or consultancy within the agricultural sector.
• Familiarity with Nigerian agricultural institutions and climate‑related services.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a challenging environment.
