Project Assistant (AVM) – Kano (Multiple Positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is recruiting multiple Project Assistants (AVM) on an expedited basis for its Migration Governance programme in Kano, Nigeria. The position is short‑term, initially for six months, with the possibility of extension up to nine months.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of protection, counter‑trafficking, voluntary return and reintegration (AVRR), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and migration data activities.
• Assist in coordinating with federal, state, and NGO partners as well as European Commission and donor representatives.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and data records.
• Facilitate regular migration pathways and contribute to monitoring and evaluation tasks.

Required profile

• Internal or internal‑equivalent IOM staff eligible for G‑4 grade.
• Experience in project support within migration, humanitarian, or development contexts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
