Program Associate – Strategic Impact Evaluation & Learning

About the role

The Program Associate, Strategic Impact Evaluation and Learning (SIEL) supports a six‑year learning partnership between the UK FCDO, IPA and J‑PAL. Working under the Program Lead, the associate helps manage grants, develop projects and communicate results across four strategic priority areas: growth, humanitarian assistance, climate & nature, and conflict & fragility.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the competitive research‑fund process, draft calls for proposals, manage reviews and supervise grant‑agreement development.
• Track grant and project status, maintain up‑to‑date Salesforce records and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
• Support project development by liaising with FCDO teams, IPA units, researchers and country offices to match expertise with funding opportunities.
• Assist in preparing dissemination materials, updating the IPA website with project summaries and supporting training sessions.
• Contribute to financial monitoring, diversity, equity and inclusion tracking, and general programme administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, public policy or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in project or research fund management, with strong attention to operational detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, able to convey complex ideas in clear, non‑technical language.
• Self‑motivated, flexible, team‑oriented and willing to learn.
