Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a senior Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations for our energy and utilities projects in Lagos. You will ensure cost‑effective, timely procurement while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure materials, equipment and services.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers based on performance, quality, cost and reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, manage the full contract lifecycle and monitor compliance.
• Prepare procurement cost reports, track KPIs and mitigate risks such as cost overruns or supply disruptions.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure on‑time delivery to project sites and verify that all procured items meet technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor lists and databases for audits and future sourcing decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the oil & gas EPC sector or a closely related industry.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills with experience preparing cost reports and managing procurement risks.
