Procurement Officer

About the role

Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Limited is seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Procurement Officer to support the timely sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, goods and services required for its construction projects and business operations. The successful candidate will ensure that approved procurement activities are executed efficiently, transparently, cost‑effectively and in full compliance with company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Process approved purchase requisitions, verify specifications, prepare RFQs, obtain quotations and conduct preliminary evaluations.
• Liaise with approved suppliers, monitor order confirmations, follow up delivery schedules and resolve routine supplier issues.
• Prepare and obtain approval for purchase orders, track their status from approval to delivery and ensure supplier compliance.
• Coordinate deliveries with site stores and logistics, verify documentation and monitor supplier delivery performance.
• Maintain accurate records of requisitions, quotations, comparative analyses, purchase orders, delivery notes and related correspondence.
• Ensure procurement activities follow company procedures, promote transparency and support internal or external audits.

Required profile

• Strong procurement and purchasing knowledge with excellent negotiation and supplier coordination skills.
• High attention to detail, documentation discipline and ability to analyse quotations for value‑for‑money.
• Good understanding of procurement controls, approval processes and strong follow‑up and time‑management abilities.
• High integrity, confidentiality and accountability, with ability to work effectively across construction, stores, logistics, finance and technical teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement/documentation systems.
• Degree or HND in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional certification is an advantage.
