Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead the sourcing of goods and services required for our energy and utilities projects, ensuring alignment with budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement plans in line with operational budgets and project timelines.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors through a structured pre‑qualification process.
• Issue RFQs, RFPs and ITTs, manage bid evaluation and negotiate contracts, pricing and SLAs.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and coordinate with Finance for timely vendor payments.
• Maintain vendor database, contract register and procurement tracker while ensuring compliance with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act and NCDMB guidelines.
• Coordinate with Stores/Warehouse to monitor inventory and trigger replenishment orders.
• Track delivery of goods and services, mitigate procurement risks and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Produce periodic procurement reports, including spend analysis, savings and supplier performance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience in oil & gas, energy or engineering sectors.
• Professional membership of CIPS or CIPSMN is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of NCDMB requirements, Nigerian Content procurement plans and NIPEX portal operations.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP procurement modules (e.g., Tally, Oracle Procurement).
• Familiarity with NIPEX portal.
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS, import/export procedures and freight management for oilfield equipment.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of NGN 350,000 – 450,000 per month.
