Postdoctoral Fellow – Partnerships, Scaling & Impact

About the role

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to support the Partnerships for Delivery and Scaling Directorate. The fellow will contribute to partnership development, resource mobilization, impact assessment, and capacity‑strengthening initiatives across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Directorate in managing projects such as CsaNSA‑Mali, Tadamon 2.0, and I‑youth 2.0.
• Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with governments, development agencies, private sector, and research institutions.
• Prepare high‑quality concept notes, grant proposals, and donor engagement materials to mobilize resources.
• Lead impact assessment studies, designing evaluation frameworks, data‑collection tools, and analytical approaches.
• Conduct adoption, scaling, and outcome studies to generate evidence on agricultural innovations.
• Provide technical support to the Capacity Development Office and the CGIAR Capacity Sharing Accelerator.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement platforms, workshops, and learning alliances.
• Contribute to scientific publications, policy briefs, technical reports, and documentation of lessons learned.

Required profile

• Post‑doctoral level experience in partnerships, scaling, or impact assessment within agricultural or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across Africa.
• Strong analytical and writing skills for reports, proposals, and publications.
