Pipeline/Corrosion Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Pipeline/Corrosion Engineer to lead design activities for oil & gas projects. The role involves delivering detailed engineering, stress analysis, and corrosion control solutions for on‑shore and off‑shore pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pipeline and corrosion engineering design for oil & gas projects.
• Prepare and review design calculations, material selection reports, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
• Conduct corrosion assessments, technical bid evaluations, and pipeline stress analyses.
• Design and review on‑shore/off‑shore pipelines, flowlines, gathering systems, crossings, cathodic protection, and coating systems.
• Develop corrosion control philosophies and integrity management strategies.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, design reviews, and technical audits.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and review vendor documents for compliance.
• Support pipeline inspection, integrity assessments, maintenance planning, and provide technical mentorship.

Required profile

• B.Eng/B.Sc in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Corrosion Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of oil & gas engineering design experience, including FEED and detailed design.
• Experience on EPC/EPCM projects.
• CO​REN registration is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API, NACE/AMPP, ISO, DNV standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CAESAR II, MS Office.
• Familiarity with Pipeline Studio and DNV Synergi Pipeline Simulator (advantageous).
• Pipeline stress analysis and integrity management expertise.
• Excellent technical reporting and communication abilities.
