Pig Attendant

About the role

The Pig Attendant will support daily operations on a pig farm, ensuring animals receive proper nutrition, health monitoring, and a clean environment. This position is essential for maintaining high animal welfare standards and supporting farm productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Feed pigs according to nutrition schedules and adjust rations as needed.
• Monitor pig health, identify signs of illness, and report any concerns to the farm manager.
• Clean and maintain pig pens, ensuring a hygienic and safe farm environment.
• Assist with breeding, farrowing, and piglet care activities.
• Administer basic treatments and vaccinations under supervision.
• Maintain accurate feeding and health records for each animal.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in piggery operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of pig farming practices.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a physically demanding setting.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks throughout the day.
