Pharmacist – Full‑time Community Pharmacy

About the role

Purpleheart Pharma Limited is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join its community pharmacy team in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The role involves ensuring safe dispensing of medicines, providing patient counseling, and supporting the pharmacy’s operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines accurately and safely.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and precautions.
• Review prescriptions to identify potential drug interactions or medication errors.
• Provide professional advice and refer patients to doctors when necessary.
• Manage pharmacy stock, including ordering, receiving, storage, expiry monitoring, and inventory control.
• Maintain accurate prescription, dispensing, and controlled‑drug records.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria regulations and professional standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle enquiries professionally.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and healthcare assistants.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional pharmacy environment.
• Support pharmacy sales and operational targets while upholding ethics and patient safety.

Required profile

• B.Pharm or Pharm.D. from a recognized institution.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria and holding a valid practicing license.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Retail or community pharmacy experience is an advantage.
