Pastry Chef

About the role

The Pastry Chef will lead the creation of a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads and desserts for our retail and fashion‑focused outlets in Lagos. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen, ensuring every product meets our quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, bake and decorate pastries, cakes, pies, breads and other desserts following established recipes.
• Assist in developing new menu items, seasonal specials and innovative pastry concepts.
• Select high‑quality ingredients, monitor inventory, track usage and place orders for baking supplies.
• Maintain strict sanitation, cleanliness and food‑safety standards at the pastry station.
• Operate, clean and maintain specialised equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers and dough sheeters.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience as a Pastry Chef, baker or pastry assistant in a professional kitchen, bakery, hotel or restaurant.
• Strong culinary knowledge, precision measuring and advanced baking techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and the stamina to stand for long periods.
• Female candidates are preferred.
