Pastry Chef

About the role

The Pastry Chef will lead the creation of a wide range of baked goods, from breads and cookies to elaborate cakes and desserts, ensuring high quality, consistency, and visual appeal for our guests and catering clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, and other desserts according to recipes.
• Decorate cakes and pastries to meet company standards and customer specifications.
• Develop new recipes and seasonal pastry offerings.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all products.
• Organize the pastry kitchen, manage workflow, and ensure equipment is clean and maintained.
• Monitor production schedules, control waste, and meet delivery deadlines.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Track inventory, assist with ordering, and keep accurate production records.
• Train and mentor junior bakers or kitchen assistants.
• Support special events, catering orders, and promotional activities.

Required profile

• OND or certification in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, Hospitality or related field (preferred).
• At least two years of experience as a Pastry Chef, baker or in a similar role.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail and organizational abilities.
