Onshore Project Control Lead & Contract Engineer

About the role

The Onshore Project Control Lead & Contract Engineer will support the Onshore Package Manager in delivering the EPCC contract from award through to operations. The role is responsible for contract administration, cost and schedule control, change and risk management, ensuring the project meets budget, timeline and safety objectives for start‑up by Q4 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise EPCC contract administration for the IMA Onshore Packages, including implementation, correspondence, variation control, claims assessment and contract close‑out.
• Implement project control standards and produce cost, schedule and change control reports, ensuring high‑quality documentation and monthly management reporting.
• Develop, maintain and monitor the package execution schedule, identify critical paths, deviations and propose mitigation or recovery actions.
• Supervise cost monitoring, commitment tracking, forecasting and budget performance in close collaboration with Finance/Cost Control.
• Consolidate, assess and document technical, schedule and commercial changes, advise on cost and schedule impacts and support negotiations.
• Provide contractual and commercial advice, assess contractor positions, review estimates and support resolution of variations and claims.
• Monitor project performance indicators, deliver up‑to‑date Earned‑Value forecasts and P50‑P90 planning data.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian Content requirements for the onshore packages.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract administration, cost control and schedule management for EPCC projects.
• Strong understanding of change management processes and ability to assess commercial impacts.
• Experience delivering project performance metrics such as Earned‑Value, P50/P10/P90 planning.
• Ability to work closely with finance, engineering and construction teams to drive corrective actions.
