Nursery & Primary Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

Standardlane School is seeking enthusiastic Nursery and Primary teachers to join our Lagos campus. The role involves delivering engaging, age‑appropriate lessons and fostering a supportive learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons for nursery and primary classes.
• Assess pupils’ progress and maintain accurate performance and attendance records.
• Create a positive, child‑friendly classroom atmosphere and manage discipline.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and classroom activities.
• Provide individualized support for pupils with diverse learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events and professional development.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and safeguarding of all pupils.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Head Teacher.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or NCE in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a nursery or primary setting.
• TRCN certification is an advantage.
• Experience teaching multiple subjects at primary level is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective lesson planning and organisational skills.
• Patience, creativity and passion for teaching young learners.
• Basic computer application proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and parents.
