Night Auditor – Hotel Finance & Audit

About the role

The Night Auditor ensures the hotel’s financial records are accurate each night, handling end‑of‑day reconciliations, system audits and inventory checks. Working on‑site at the Hotel Emergency Room in Lagos, you will protect revenue and support month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily sales from all revenue units, including mini‑mart, POS slips and no‑show charges, and resolve billing discrepancies before guest check‑out.
• Complete the PMS day‑close/night audit, verify key‑card access, compare room status with physical checks and report any mismatches.
• Monitor for unauthorized rate changes, fraudulent complimentary transactions and other revenue‑leakage risks, documenting anomalies for investigation.
• Ensure all purchased items are recorded on Goods Received Notes, participate in mid‑month equipment counts and support month‑end inventory valuation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• At least three years of experience in hotel finance, night audit, revenue control or inventory management.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel Property Management System (PMS) software.
• Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
