About the role
Glow FM 99.1 Akure is looking for a disciplined and creative News Editor to produce clear, accurate and timely news stories for broadcast. The role involves writing, editing, presenting bulletins and converting breaking news into broadcast‑ready scripts under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Write, edit and structure news stories for radio broadcast.
- Present news bulletins with clarity, authority and professionalism.
- Verify facts and enforce strict editorial accuracy before airtime.
- Coordinate with reporters and newsroom staff to meet deadlines.
- Maintain newsroom discipline and uphold content quality standards.
- Convert breaking news into structured, broadcast‑ready scripts under tight timelines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Journalism, Mass Communications, Broadcasting or related field.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation and public‑speaking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
