National Consultant – Supply & Financing Analysis for BEP Maternal Nutrition (Abuja)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior national consultant to lead a supply and financing landscaping analysis for Balanced Energy Protein (BEP) supplementation aimed at improving maternal nutrition in Nigeria. The assignment is home‑based with periodic travel and lasts approximately 4.4 months.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a desk review and map the industry landscape for BEP products.
• Engage stakeholders and private‑sector actors to collect relevant data.
• Validate findings at state and national levels with concerned authorities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in nutrition, health economics, agricultural economics, public health, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in maternal and child nutrition policy and programming.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a local language is an asset.

Required skills

• Financial feasibility analysis, cost modeling and ROI projection.
• Business model evaluation for nutrition interventions.
• Supply chain and industry mapping.
• Data collection and survey design for nutrition and food‑security assessments.
• Nutrition epidemiology and knowledge of Nigeria’s health‑system context.
