MNCH Technical Advisor – Integrated Health Services

About the role

The MNCH Technical Advisor will support the implementation of an integrated health service package in Nigeria, funded by the U.S. Department of State. The role focuses on reducing maternal, infant and child mortality by integrating malaria, MNCH, TB and HIV screening across the continuum of care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on high‑impact integrated MNCH, nutrition, routine immunization, TB screening and PMTCT services aligned with national guidelines.
• Advise on integration of these services into existing delivery systems at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
• Collaborate with national and state stakeholders to translate evidence‑based practices into improved implementation.
• Design and deliver capacity‑building activities, including provider trainings, Training of Trainers (ToT), follow‑up support and clinical mentoring.
• Work with the State Ministry of Health and other partners to transition services to government ownership and ensure sustainability.
• Review technical documents, contribute to policy development and coordinate with other development partners.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities to meet donor and national targets.
• Represent the program at state‑level meetings and technical working groups.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering integrated maternal, newborn and child health services at primary health‑care level.
• Proven ability to work with government ministries, NGOs and multilateral partners.
• Strong background in capacity‑building, training delivery and quality improvement.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting for health programs.
