Mechanical Technician – Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will ensure that all routine and preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment are performed accurately and on time. This role supports the smooth operation of the plant by maintaining critical machinery and adhering to food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of valves, pressure gauges, electric motors and pumps.
• Execute routine lubrication plans for pumps, gearboxes and couplings.
• Perform daily and periodic inspections of pumps, bolts, nuts and other moving parts to prevent misalignment.
• Report daily activities to the line manager and shift coordinator.
• Follow safe work procedures during all repair and maintenance activities.
• Address unusual conditions of conveyors and other moving equipment promptly.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements.
• Assist with any additional duties assigned by management.
