Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer to lead the design, installation and commissioning of mechanical systems for luxury residential projects in Abuja. The role involves ensuring high-quality execution of HVAC, plumbing, fire safety and water treatment solutions on site.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, plumbing schematics and fire safety specifications for compliance.
• Supervise on-site installation of VRF/VRV air-conditioning, luxury sanitary fittings, boosted water supply, sewage treatment plants and fire suppression networks.
• Conduct pressure testing, pipe leak checks, ductwork testing and full commissioning before handover.
• Inspect incoming materials and monitor subcontractor workmanship to meet luxury finishing standards.
• Maintain 100 % compliance with PPE and HSE guidelines and ensure installations meet statutory regulations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of generators, pumps and other mechanical plant assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• HVAC system design and VRF/VRV technology.
• Plumbing and sewage treatment plant expertise.
• Fire suppression system installation.
• Pressure testing and commissioning of mechanical services.
• Material inspection and quality control.
• Preventive maintenance of generators and pumps.
