Mechanical Engineer (Expat) – Nigeria

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our plant operations in Nigeria on an expatriate basis. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing production equipment, particularly within a milk processing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant and process equipment.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and implement timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to plant operations.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in plant, process or production equipment maintenance.
• Proven experience in milk processing facilities.
• Must be based in Nigeria and eligible to work on an expatriate contract.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of plant and process equipment.
• Expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance techniques.
• Ability to handle equipment breakdowns and develop maintenance plans.
• Experience with milk processing equipment.
