Master Control Room Operator

About the role

The Master Control Room Operator will manage the 24/7 broadcast transmission system for Quantum Expressions Media Consult LTD, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of programming across all platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor broadcast transmission equipment (servers, routers, switchers, automation systems) to maintain seamless program delivery.
• Monitor signal quality, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot any audio/video issues.
• Manage broadcast automation systems, load media, maintain playlists, and perform regular backups.
• Support live broadcasts, operate studio equipment, and coordinate with directors, producers, and on‑air talent.
• Ingest, verify, and schedule content, commercials, and promotional material for broadcast.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Electronics, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience as a Master Control Room Operator or in a similar broadcast operations role.
• Knowledge of broadcast regulations (e.g., FCC) and standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with broadcast automation systems.
• Understanding of video and audio signal flow and routing.
• Experience with broadcast transmission equipment (servers, routers, switchers, monitoring tools).
• Familiarity with media asset management systems and quality‑control tools (waveform monitors, vectorscopes).
• Basic networking and IT principles related to broadcast operations.
