Marine Pilot – Vessel Berthing & Unberthing Specialist

About the role

The Marine Pilot will be responsible for safely piloting vessels in and out of ports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and supporting Petroexcel Technology Services’ operations in the oil and energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Pilot RoRo (Roll‑on/Roll‑off), LoLo (Lift‑on/Lift‑off), Panamax & Supermax dry cargo, and LNG vessels during berthing and unberthing.
• Ensure pilot boats are inspected, approved by the Harbour Master, and meet all applicable regulations.
• Maintain compliance with the Pilotage Act 2010 and IMPA Resolution 2010.
• Coordinate with port authorities and vessel crews to facilitate safe and efficient movements.

Required profile

• Chief Officer or Master (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency.
• Proven experience in berthing and unberthing the vessel types listed above.
• Sound knowledge of pilotage operations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with the Pilotage Act 2010 and IMPA Resolution 2010.
