Managing Director

About the role

The Managing Director will lead Yemsays Properties and Investments Limited in driving its real‑estate strategy, overseeing land sales, development projects and construction delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role demands strong leadership, market insight and regulatory expertise to achieve growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute overall business strategy, growth targets and revenue performance for land sales and development.
• Oversee construction project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Build, mentor and manage a high‑performing sales and operations team.
• Represent the company with investors, land owners, contractors and key partners.
• Ensure compliance with land documentation, approvals and permits.
• Report business performance and strategic recommendations to the CEO.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in real estate, land sales or construction, with 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (MD, GM, Head of Operations).
• Proven track record of closing land/property deals and delivering development or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian land law, Certificate of Occupancy, governor’s consent and property registration.
• Extensive network of investors, land owners and contractors in Lagos.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and client‑facing communication skills.
• Degree in Estate Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field is an advantage.
