Machinery Maintenance Officer

About the role

Mshel Homes Limited is seeking a Machinery Maintenance Officer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and equipment across its projects. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and upholding safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and execute maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment across various sites.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule to keep machines at peak efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational problems quickly.
• Lead troubleshooting for major repairs, coordinating with technicians and external vendors as needed.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with the procurement team for stock replenishment.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and generate performance reports.
• Prepare budget proposals for maintenance needs and spare‑part acquisition.
• Train operators and production staff on basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise junior maintenance staff and enforce safety protocols.
• Identify opportunities for equipment performance improvement and recommend upgrades.
