Machine Operator & Concrete Supervisor (m/f/d)

About the role

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is seeking a full‑time Machine Operator and Concrete Supervisor to operate WIRTGEN slipform pavers (SP 61(i), SP 62(i), SP 64(i), TCM180) in the Southeast region of Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and setting up WIRTGEN slipform pavers using offset and inset methods.
• Coordinating workflows with the concrete crew, surveying team and site management.
• Monitoring paving quality, machine performance and workplace safety.
• Performing routine maintenance, servicing and fault checks on the equipment.
• Documenting performance, malfunctions and shift handovers to ensure efficient site operations.

Required profile

• Technical training or comparable practical qualifications in construction equipment operation or mechatronics.
• Experience with heavy construction machinery and concrete road construction, preferably with WIRTGEN slipform pavers.
• Willingness to work shifts, outdoors and at various construction sites.
• Safety‑conscious, reliable, team‑oriented and meticulous work ethic.

Required skills

• Operation of WIRTGEN slipform pavers (SP 61, SP 62, SP 64, TCM180).
• Knowledge of machine controls, hydraulics and surveying equipment.
• Operator certification, valid driver’s licence and HSE training.
