Logistics Operations Manager

About the role

Yoris Africa is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to lead and optimise both international freight movements from China to Nigeria and local last‑mile delivery operations across Nigeria. This full‑time position will ensure goods move efficiently, cost‑effectively, and on schedule while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics workflows, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and cargo management for China‑to‑Nigeria shipments.
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and last‑mile delivery networks within Nigeria.
• Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with logistics partners, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to uphold operational standards.
• Drive customer acquisition and retention by leveraging industry relationships and converting prospects into paying clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
• Deep understanding of international shipping processes, especially China‑to‑Nigeria routes.
• Track record of improving operational efficiency and supporting business growth.
• Strong network within logistics, procurement, importation, e‑commerce, or manufacturing sectors.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
