Logistics Officer – Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Logistics Officer will oversee the end‑to‑end supply chain operations for Dozzy Oil & Gas Limited, ensuring efficient distribution of petroleum products and related raw materials across Nigeria. This full‑time position requires coordination of truck fleets, driver performance, and customer relationships to meet operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate tasks to meet configuration requirements and manage customer‑based queues.
• Oversee daily truck operations, schedule trips, and assign drivers in line with operational needs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, including insurance for all fleet vehicles.
• Monitor financial drivers affecting haulage performance and implement measures to maximise returns.
• Evaluate driver performance on turnaround time and safety, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Analyse industry trends, government publications and competitor activity, reporting insights to management.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to secure repeat business.
• Ensure all vehicles are technically sound, properly maintained and equipped with safety gear.
• Negotiate with third‑party truck providers for onward loading of products.
• Track, receive and stock all ordered items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a Logistics Officer in a reputable organization.
• Strong analytical ability, accountability and teamwork orientation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work overtime or extended hours as required.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (basic logistics software and MS Office).

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from NGN 150,000 to NGN 200,000.
