Loan Recovery Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Loan Recovery Officer to manage overdue loan accounts, ensure timely repayments, and maintain positive customer relationships. The role involves direct communication with borrowers through multiple channels and collaborating with internal teams to meet recovery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up with customers to ensure timely repayment of loans.
• Contact borrowers with overdue loans via phone, email, WhatsApp, and physical visits.
• Negotiate repayment plans and encourage prompt settlement.
• Monitor overdue accounts and maintain accurate recovery records.
• Escalate unresolved cases to management.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly recovery reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support sales and marketing by identifying onboarding opportunities.
• Achieve assigned recovery and performance targets.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in finance, banking, business administration, marketing, economics or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in loan recovery, debt collection, sales or marketing.
• Previous loan recovery experience is mandatory.
• Maximum age of 40 years; male candidates are preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet targets.

What we offer

• Monthly net salary up to NGN 150,000.
• Performance commission, HMO, pension, airtime allowance, transport allowance and reimbursements.
• Hybrid work mode (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
• Standard working hours: Monday‑Friday, 9 AM‑5 PM.
