Litigation Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join Permanent Capital Ventures Limited in Lagos. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support across corporate, commercial and dispute resolution matters, contributing to the firm’s growth and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Support the firm’s business development strategy by identifying new opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
• Advise clients on corporate, commercial, regulatory and governance matters, including incorporations, restructurings, M&A and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements such as shareholder, service, supply and financing documents.
• Provide legal support for corporate governance, regulatory compliance and secretarial duties.
• Conduct legal due diligence and prepare opinions, transaction documents and advisory memoranda.
• Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Perform legal research and prepare pleadings, briefs, witness statements and other court documents.
• Develop litigation strategies and manage cases from commencement through resolution, including court appearances.
• Maintain client relationships by delivering timely, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Mentor junior lawyers, interns and support staff and collaborate with colleagues across practice groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Law or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar litigation and corporate law role.
• Mid‑level professional with a proven track record of handling complex legal matters.
