Legal Officer – Real Estate & Investment

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal counsel and support across our diverse real‑estate, construction, fintech, hospitality and investment operations. The role is full‑time, onsite in Jabi, Abuja, and offers the chance to work on high‑value projects with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to senior management and departments such as Sales, Marketing, Business Development, HR/Admin, Finance and Project Teams.
• Draft, review and negotiate real‑estate transaction agreements, construction contracts, land acquisition deeds and corporate governance policies.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards affecting real‑estate, construction, hospitality, fintech and investments.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks, developing proactive strategies.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution, coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in negotiations and settlements.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of legal policies, procedures and best practices.
• Monitor legislative changes and evolving industry practices to maintain compliance and strategic advantage.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from an accredited institution; a Master’s degree or professional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Legal Officer or in a similar role within real‑estate, construction, fintech, hospitality or REIT investments.
• Demonstrated track record of handling complex contracts and dispute resolution.
