Legal Compliance Officer

About the role

The Legal Compliance Officer will support Lekki Gardens Estates Limited in building and maintaining a robust compliance framework. This role ensures adherence to AML, CTF, CPF and other regulatory requirements while safeguarding the company’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company’s compliance framework in line with AML, CTF, CPF and related regulations.
• Monitor business activities and internal processes to identify compliance gaps.
• Assist with periodic compliance reviews, audits, assessments and follow‑up on findings.
• Prepare statutory filings and regulatory submissions to CAC and other authorities.
• Liaise with SCUML, EFCC, NFIU and other regulatory bodies as required.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and draft mitigation reports.
• Support the Company Secretariat on corporate governance, statutory and regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in legal or regulatory compliance, preferably in financial services, consulting or legal advisory.
• Strong knowledge of AML, CTF, CPF regulations and corporate regulatory requirements.
• Experience dealing with SCUML registration, reporting obligations and regulatory correspondence.
• Excellent analytical, documentation and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical actions.
