Laboratory Technician – Packaging (QC)

About the role

ABInBev is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician – Packaging to join its South‑East Nigeria plant. Reporting to the QC Specialist, you will be responsible for sampling, preparing and analysing raw materials, in‑process samples and finished packaged products to ensure quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment according to standard methods.
• Prepare samples, conduct analyses and record results in the appropriate information systems.
• Request chemicals, reagents and other tools from specialists and ensure a safe, healthy laboratory environment.
• Perform specialised quality analyses not covered by shift‑based teams and assist them when required.
• Analyse results to identify problems, propose improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• B.Sc or HND in Biological Sciences, Microbiology or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Laboratory Technician in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Good knowledge of micro‑laboratory systems, HACCP, GMP and CIP requirements.
• Strong analytical ability, problem‑solving skills and proficiency with PC applications.
