Key Account Manager / Modern Trade Manager

About the role
Our client, a leading FMCG organization, is looking for an experienced Modern Trade Manager to drive sales growth and brand visibility across supermarkets, hypermarkets and e‑commerce platforms. You will manage major accounts, develop strategic plans and lead a sales team to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for modern trade channels.
- Negotiate annual business plans, contracts and promotional terms with key retail accounts.
- Lead, coach and motivate the sales and merchandising team to ensure excellent in‑store execution.
- Ensure planogram compliance, proper use of POS materials and flawless promotion execution.
- Conduct regular store visits and performance reviews to maintain execution discipline.
- Analyze sales data, market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, finance and logistics teams to align strategy and ensure product availability.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
- 5–7 years of FMCG sales experience (preferably dairy) with at least 3 years in modern trade or key account management.
- Proven record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management and leadership abilities.
- Solid business and financial awareness, capable of managing P&L statements.
- Analytical mindset to interpret market trends and competitor insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment.
