Key Account Manager

Join Puratos in Lagos to shape the future of food through innovative bakery and pastry solutions. As a Key Account Manager you will develop and nurture strategic relationships with major industrial bakeries and large retail chains across Nigeria. The role focuses on driving business growth, expanding product portfolios and ensuring strong partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and open new business opportunities with top‑tier industrial bakeries and pastry producers, and develop account strategies aligned with company growth targets.
• Achieve sales and profitability targets, introduce new products and solutions, and negotiate contracts, pricing and annual agreements with key clients.
• Lead new project development from concept to launch, coordinating with technical, marketing and supply‑chain teams and ensuring timely product trials and approvals.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and customer insights to spot market gaps and provide regular sales forecasts and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal technical support, R&D, logistics and marketing teams to deliver superior customer value, including training and product demonstrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or key account management experience in the bakery, pastry or food‑ingredients industry.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining major accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Willingness to travel across Nigeria and occasional regional trips, and curiosity for digital tools, data and AI.
