Junior Registrar

About the role

The Junior Registrar will join Lily Hospitals Limited in Warri, Delta, supporting safe and evidence‑based patient care within the assigned department. Working under the supervision of senior clinicians, the role offers exposure to clinical teaching, quality improvement, and research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, examine and manage patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions.
• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans under consultant supervision.
• Participate in daily ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings and outpatient clinics.
• Perform appropriate clinical procedures within the scope of training.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide timely medical interventions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and order/interpret lab and radiology investigations.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans and follow‑up care to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals and administrative staff.
• Take part in teaching sessions, journal clubs, morbidity‑mortality meetings and clinical audits.
• Assist in supervising interns, house officers and medical students where appropriate.

Required profile

• Medical degree with registration eligibility in Nigeria.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, ethical standards and continuous learning.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in teaching and mentorship activities.
