IT Systems Administrator (Contractor)

About the role

The IT Systems Administrator will manage and maintain on‑site IT systems and networks for our Lagos office. This contract position involves ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the infrastructure while providing timely technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications.
• Install and configure hardware, software, and network devices.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and system security.
• Handle routine and escalated technical support requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support backup/disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Apply patches, updates, and perform system optimization.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to align infrastructure with business and security requirements.
• Provide occasional after‑hours support for critical incidents.

Required profile

• Strong system administration experience, including server configuration and OS management.
• Solid network administration background covering switch/router configuration and LAN/WAN management.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems efficiently.
