IT Audit Officer

About the role

The IT Audit Officer will join Quest Merchant Bank’s Lagos office to lead and execute independent IT audits across the bank’s systems, networks and applications. This full-time, on-site position ensures that IT controls are effective, security standards are met and regulatory requirements are satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and perform IT audit engagements covering infrastructure, applications, databases and security controls.
• Review IT processes such as access management, change management, data integrity and business continuity.
• Evaluate system and network configurations, test control effectiveness and identify gaps.
• Document audit procedures, findings and recommendations in clear, concise reports.
• Follow up with IT, risk and business teams to ensure remediation of identified issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify emerging technology risks and enhance the bank’s IT governance framework.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the IT audit program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in system and network administration, technical support and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT audit methodologies, risk assessment, internal controls and financial-industry regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, documentation and report-writing abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams, managing multiple audits and meeting tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in banking, financial services or other regulated industries is preferred.
