About the role
The Investigative and Features Reporter will produce in‑depth investigative reports and engaging feature stories for publication or broadcast across multiple media platforms, adhering to the highest journalistic standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth investigations into complex issues, including document review, data analysis and source cultivation.
- Develop engaging feature stories through interviews, research and narrative storytelling.
- Perform thorough research using public records, databases and expert interviews, and synthesize findings into clear reports.
- Collaborate with editors and legal counsel to ensure accuracy, fairness and legal defensibility of reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field.
- 5‑7 years of professional experience in investigative or feature reporting.
- Strong understanding of journalistic ethics, libel, copyright and privacy laws.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and maintain accuracy.
Required skills
- Proficiency with multimedia tools such as audio recorders, video cameras and editing software.
- Experience using newsroom computer systems, online databases and research tools.
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques.
