Inventory Controller – Warehouse Management

About the role

We are looking for an Inventory Controller to manage the flow of goods in our warehouse, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, issue and record‑keeping of stock for our clients. The role reports functionally to the Customer Service Manager and works closely with quality and safety teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, identify, handle, store and issue client stock following Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) and SOP/SLA requirements.
• Post all receipts and issues to the appropriate physical binders immediately after each transaction.
• Determine optimal storage locations and arrange warehouse layout to maximise space utilisation.
• Unpack and assemble incoming items, verify condition, quantity and type, and apply identification tags.
• Issue stock to fulfil requisitions and coordinate delivery priorities with the CSM and client representatives.
• Update stock expiry status, manage damaged/expired items and ensure they are quarantined, escalating issues to the CSM and Quality Assurance Pharmacist.
• Conduct regular physical inventory checks, resolve discrepancies and report any variances within 24 hours.
• Maintain warehouse safety, security, cleanliness and compliance with HSE policies, including supervision of forklift operators.

Required profile

• Graduate degree or HND in Natural/Social Sciences or related discipline.
• 1–2 years post‑qualification experience in warehousing, inventory management, store‑keeping or customer service.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and handle multiple tasks.
