International Development Manager – Africa

About the role

The International Development Manager (Africa) is a full‑time position based in Lagos, Nigeria, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. The role focuses on creating and managing recruitment strategies and partnerships across key African markets to help universities increase international student enrollment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new recruitment partners and agents across Africa.
• Coordinate agent activities, monitor performance and ensure targets are met.
• Conduct market research and analysis to inform growth strategies.
• Organise and attend student recruitment events and support conversion campaigns with university stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with UKVI and other international education standards.
• Prepare regular reports on market trends, recruitment outcomes and partner performance.
• Collaborate with regional colleagues to deliver consistent, high‑quality service to partner institutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international student recruitment or higher‑education business development, preferably with exposure to African markets.
• Strong relationship‑management and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to conduct market analysis, develop growth strategies and achieve enrollment targets.
• Awareness of international education compliance requirements (e.g., UKVI standards).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional African language skills are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Business, Marketing, Education or a related field; a master’s degree is beneficial.
