Internal Audit Officer

About the role

The Internal Audit Officer will support the Head of Internal Audit in planning, documenting and executing audit projects, helping to strengthen Prudential's control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in audit planning, ensure proper documentation, and provide technical support for timely audit completion.
• Evaluate processes and controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and present draft audit reports, participate in IT audits focusing on governance, architecture and business support.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and report control deficiencies to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of internal audit experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory environment and audit standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CISA, CIA preferred.
• Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Internal audit methodology and working paper management.
• IT audit techniques and familiarity with insurance software applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
