Infrastructure Engineer (Windows/Linux)

About the role

Paymi Solutions Limited (PayZeep), a licensed financial technology company in Nigeria, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who manages its server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. The engineer designs, implements, maintains and secures on-premise and cloud infrastructure, keeping critical systems supporting digital payments, internal applications and regulatory compliance available, scalable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, patch and maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtual machines
• Manage capacity planning, backups and disaster-recovery processes, including regular DR tests and business continuity exercises
• Implement server hardening, secure configuration baselines and access controls
• Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services and identity management
• Deploy and optimise cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform, and manage hybrid environments
• Manage enterprise storage, backup solutions and vulnerability remediation
• Automate routine tasks with scripts and standardise deployment and configuration management
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, monitor infrastructure, and support security audits and penetration testing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (required)
• 5-8 years of total relevant experience; 6+ years managing server infrastructure in banking, fintech or a regulated environment preferred
• Preferred: Microsoft or Linux certification (e.g. RHCE, MCSE)

• Windows Server and Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Rocky Linux)
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Backup, disaster recovery, patch management and root cause analysis
