Inbound Team Lead (Full Time)

About the role

The Inbound Team Lead will supervise a team of inbound operators, ensuring efficient receipt, inspection and storage of incoming goods. This full‑time position is based in Abuja and focuses on driving productivity, safety and accuracy within Jumia’s warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach inbound operators, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Oversee receiving processes: verify quantities, inspect for damage, and record data in inventory systems.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory Management and Operations to prioritize shipments and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct regular inspections of inbound areas and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile discrepancies and support cycle counts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or inbound receiving with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of inbound processes in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all organizational levels.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must hold an NYSC certificate or a valid exemption letter and be based in Abuja.

Required skills

• Operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and reporting.
