Human Resources (HR) Volunteer

About the role

The Human Resources Volunteer will support the HR team at Domeo Resources International in Abuja, assisting with day‑to‑day HR activities across recruitment, employee engagement, performance management and administration. This unpaid, full‑time position offers early‑career professionals the chance to gain practical experience within a consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in posting job vacancies, screening applications and shortlisting candidates.
• Coordinate virtual interviews and help onboard new hires.
• Maintain accurate digital staff records and update HR databases.
• Prepare routine HR reports and documentation for management.
• Support communication between HR and employees, and help organise staff welfare initiatives.
• Contribute to performance appraisal processes and identify training opportunities.
• Help implement HR policies and ensure compliance with labour regulations.
• Provide general administrative support and suggest improvements to HR processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years of HR experience, preferably in a consulting or service‑oriented setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely.
• Detail‑oriented with good time‑management and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with HR information systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using digital collaboration tools for virtual meetings and learning.
