Hub Lead - Farmer Programme

About the role

A Hub Lead is needed to run a farmer programme in the Iseyin LGA, Oyo State area. The role acts as the face of the programme in the community, recruiting and supporting smallholder farmers, coordinating inputs and off-take, and keeping the local hub office and equipment running. It is an on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, register and onboard smallholder farmers, and build trusted relationships with farmers, community leaders and local stakeholders
• Coordinate timely delivery of inputs to registered farmers and monitor farming practices against recommended agronomic standards
• Track committed volumes per farmer before harvest, manage harvest logistics, quality checks and crop aggregation, and flag risks of shortfall early
• Maintain accurate farmer registers and activity logs, submit weekly reports on progress, risks and field observations, and use programme data tools for recruitment, monitoring and reporting
• Engage regularly with village heads, cooperative leaders and agricultural extension networks
• Maintain the local hub office and equipment, and oversee last-mile logistics for inputs and crops

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business administration or a related field
• Fluency in English and Yoruba
• Willingness and ability to live in or very near Oniko, Iseyin LGA, Oyo State
• Preferred: prior experience in agriculture, rural development or smallholder farming; knowledge of cassava farming and existing relationships in the Iseyin area; experience managing teams, coordinating logistics or running field operations

Remuneration is NGN 300,000 per month.
